It also houses an elephant guarded by a soldier who survived World War II and a man who hopes to become a man. Each of these characters has something in common: they have something to lose. It can be a name, a partner, or a great idea.
The story is inspired by several short stories by Haruki Murakami, who are set in an extravagant world full of lonely characters.

Memories will come out later this month and the game is very much inspired by Murakami’s stories. The game focuses on a young woman from a dark European city who has lost her memory and doesn’t even remember her name. (The title “Memoirs” refers to the notes you use to remember important things.) It’s like playing a classic adventure game like Tentacle Day or The Secret of Monkey Island, so you’ll be spending a lot of money. Spend your time talking to other characters and solving puzzles using items that you collect around the city.
The setting and the story are not necessarily reminiscent of a specific surveillance dog story, but are intended to create a similar feeling. Memories take place in a city full of lovely little cafes and bakeries. All of this is presented in a flowing artistic style reminiscent of a French animated film. But there is so much more in this world to play in, and that feeling Seidy hoped to overcome in the news of Murakami’s book, Elephant Venice in particular.
