The hit game Valheim Survival was developed by five people and was released on Steam in early access in February. As such, it’s a development of a textbook game in the garage (they have an office, but the ghost is there). That’s why Iron Gate doesn’t have a Mac to test the gate, but that can’t be ruled out in the future.

Valheim is a PC special, though there is a mode that can be run on VR. This is the limit of its current availability, and launching the game on PC does not mean that it will run on Mac or Linux. However, developer Iron Gate has revealed why this is so.

According to the developers, they will release the Mac version when they see a “significant request” for players.

So it looks like the team is ready to build a gateway to Mac, even if they want to make sure it’s worth their time and resources, which makes perfect sense.

Okay, that means we don’t have a Valheim Mac release date yet, but we hope to hear from you soon.

According to the Valheim FAQ, developers seem to be more open to the Mac version than to the Welheim consoles.
